      Local wildlife artist, and supporter of the Discovery Centre, Bob Greenhalf has a created a fantastic image called Rye Harbour Oystercatchers.  A limited edition of 100, it's a five block linocut, 280mm square. Each copy has been printed by hand by Bob, and signed. The cost is £115 unframed with 50%

      Trevor Tupholme loved Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. His family have been going for a walk together on the reserve every Boxing Day since 1982. His daughter tells about Trevor, and explains why she’s donated money to the Discovery Centre in his name

    • High Sheriff of East Sussex visits Rye Harbour Nature Reserve

      On a Wednesday morning in August, the High Sheriff of East Sussex, Violet Hancock, came to visit Rye Harbour Nature Reserve, to see the wildlife and hear about the Discovery Centre project. The group walked to the Discovery Centre site to see progress on the build, then were taken on a Land Rover tour of the nature reserve, with Barry explaining how the reserve manages the shingle, saltmarsh, saline lagoons, coastal grazing marsh, freshwater gravel pits and reedbed habitats. Emma Chaplin then spoke to Violet about herself, her role and her interest in wildlife:

      The first ever Ekiden Relay took place on the reserve on Friday 31st May, raising over £4000 for the Discovery Centre.
